Kerderns Pierre

Kerderns Pierre...

That's right! It seems that what I have always known is going to be true...Haiti will always be in my life, now in the form of a baby brother!

I have written about Kerderns here and introduced you all to his story. Over the past few months he has become even more precious to me. Just days after returning from Haiti I found out that my parents had decided to adopt Kerderns!

The last few months have been a whirlwind... because of KJ's special medical requirements (which we don't really know the extent of yet) we have been working on getting a medical visa for him. If this works out we will be able to bring him home to Minnesota to get medical care while his adoption is being processed. We are finally getting somewhere and are working on securing a doctor for his care right now. Hopefully as soon as that is finished GLA will be able to apply for a medical visa for him!

It goes without saying that The Buettners are incredibly excited. We are all so looking forward to adding this special boy to our family! We have no guarantee of any timeline but we are just praying right now that all the paperwork and official information we need will be processed quickly so that we can get him here to start whatever medical care he will need.

Also, starting today I am opening my paypal account for donations to help with the cost of this adoption. The costs are already adding up, Visa, Medical Care, Airline Tickets... all of it is quick to multiply but we know that God has handpicked this boy for our family and so we trust that everything that we need will be provided.
We are so blessed to have so many supportive friends and family members who will travel this incredible journey with us!
Keeping you posted as we know!
